Tavi and Bea went to school on the bus for the first time this morning. After a rough start, I convinced Tavi it would be the most fun she has ever had. And I think it was!
After I calmed my jerking knee, I decided to sent Tavi and Bea off to the post-communist Russian ophanage the special ed preschool program. They started last week and today was the first day on the bus without mom. Bea can attend with Tavi as a peer. So far so good...
And later...
They made it home!
A big day for big girls!

They rode the bus! Without you! Wow, when did they get to be such big little girls?

I KNOW! I thought I was going to be following that bus today so I had the car ready to go, but they did fine. Let's just hope the novelty doesn't wear off. They are also used to seeing Ivy get on and off the bus everyday so it was fun to have "my turn".
(And I almost cried when they left.)

YAY for big girls.........
YAY for the short bus!

I big heart the short bus.
And so cool that it comes to my door. I guess there are some perks to dealing with all this developmental diagnosis crap over the last 6 months... I hear there is a tax break involved as well.

Also, it appears Tavi stayed awake for her hair cut. Lookin' good!!

I like how their hair color distinguishes them. ;) I don't remember the novelty of the yellow school bus ever wearing off. I hope they are getting a lot out of their preschool program! What does the note on your front door say?

Thanks mom.
K - So cute, their hair this cut! I love it. I prepped Tavi ahead of time with a new technique from OT.
FW- Their preschool program rocks now that I've dismounted the high horse. The sign says: "Please Take Off Your Shoes. Thank you!"
No shoes in this house!

Of course you take the shoes off; I mean, what kind of barbarians would wear shoes inside a home?
I love the reactions here when I tell people that Americans normally wear shoes inside the home. Worse yet, into the toilet room. That really shocks them.
Congrats on the big day.
